Greetings, SUMC family!

 

In June we had a fantastic music camp and marvelous presentation of The Kingdom Connection in Sunday morning worship. I want to thank God and the many adult and youth volunteers who made the week inspirational and special for our campers! What a blessed and memorable week we had! Praise Jesus!

 

As we settle into the summer months with Pastor Alexis away on renewal leave, we lean on strong laity to carry on and look forward to hosting a variety of guest pastors on Sunday mornings. Our Summer Singers continue to lead us in joyful song, and I hope you will join in the chorus of praise to our King Jesus! As I have mentioned before, I love our singing congregation! Plan to join us each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. in person or online at youtube.com/@sebastianumc. Following Sunday Worship, enjoy food and fellowship with our church family at Fellowship Cafe.

 

Looking ahead, I hope you will consider joining the worship ministry in the Fall as a worship steward (usher, greeter, communion steward, tech), chancel choir singer, bell ringer, brass ensemble player, or children's volunteer. Prayerfully consider volunteering to teach children's church or assist with our Wednesday after school music program. If you wish to volunteer as a worship steward, musician, or children's volunteer, please contact me via phone (404-312-5345) or email (music@sebastianumc.org).

 

Finally, registration is open for 1st - 5th graders interested in the Back-to-School Jam: Music Fun Day on August 23, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Wednesday's Music & Arts Kids after school program beginning September 10, 4 - 5:30 p.m. Please share these events with friends and neighbors!
