Love and spring are in the air! We have the privilege over the next few weeks of hosting two weddings at SUMC. We will celebrate the marriage of Debbie Trimble and Tim Cronon on February 15, and the wedding of Marie Dandrea and Dietrich Riddle on March 15. We’re overjoyed to have these couples make vows to one another before God in our church sanctuary. May God bless and grow their love for Him and for one another!
As we grow closer to Jesus and experience His great love for us, our love for one another becomes more like His love. This is sacrificial, unconditional, agape love! “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) During our Lenten Worship Series Steadfast Love, we have an opportunity to grow in true love for Christ and one another through worship and small groups. Please be in prayer for this time of spiritual growth and plan to fully participate in worship and small groups beginning Ash Wednesday, March 5 – Easter Sunday, April 20. Mark your calendar for Palm Sunday, April 13, when the Chancel Choir and Handbells will lead us in worship. The choir will present the cantata What Wondrous Hope: A Service of Promise, Grace and Life. During this Lenten Season, let’s recommit our time to Jesus and His people to grow in love for God and one another!
Did I mention spring? I love living in Florida where we are enjoying beautiful spring weather in February! The church will gather for Spring Fling on Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. All are invited to enjoy a night of music, poetry, and laughter!
I love worshiping and serving the Lord with you! If you’re interested in joining any of our music ensembles or tech team, please let me know. music@sebastianumc.org
Joy in Christ!
